To,
commissioner election commission of india
Sir
District Magistrate/ District Election Officer, Varanasi
Sir,
It is requested that the applicant Shashank Shekhar Tripathi is an advocate and the coordinator of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s legal cell, Kashi region.

It is necessary to bring to your notice this important fact that a rumour is being spread in the minority-dominated areas of Varanasi that if the Bharatiya Janata Party wins the Lok Sabha elections 2024, NRC will be implemented, and one person from every Muslim family will be sent to jail. Sir, this is a very worrying situation and is going to spoil the social harmony of the society and affect the elections. Therefore, you are requested to take cognizance of this matter and immediately stop those spreading rumours in minority Babul areas and also disseminate the message through the public information system that there is no such provision in NRC due to which any Indian citizen is sent to jail.
Another important issue that has come to notice is that mothers, sisters and daughters of minority community are planning to vote for BJP influenced by the policies of BJP and its candidate Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, but some people with fundamentalist ideology want to forcefully stop those mothers, sisters and daughters from voting and for this they can also try to get another woman to vote in place of another woman under the cover of purdah, as has been seen in elections in other parts of the country. For this, the election officers engaged in election work should be aware of the fact that women polling personnel should be allowed to go for voting only after matching the face with the photo on the voter ID card or Aadhar card, and if information is received from any place that the family members of mothers, sisters and daughters of minority community are not allowing them to come out of their houses to vote, then the Election Commission should make arrangements to get the votes of those mothers, sisters and daughters also polled.

Sir, this is an extremely urgent and important issue. It is essential to take cognizance of it and implement appropriate legal process immediately. Only then will fair elections be possible.
Yours sincerely Shashank Shekhar Tripathi Advocate Coordinator Bharatiya Janata Party Legal Cell Kashi Region 9580 42 6321
